What It’s For
Question words in American English are complicated. They are much more than simply “who,” “what,” “when,” “where,” “why,” and “how”. Many of my students expressed a desire to learn casual question words, in addition to the “normal” textbook question words. After a lesson or two of incorporated practice, my students usually have a good handle on the words and phrases.
What It Contains
This PDF contains two types of questions words. First, it includes the standard question words that are taught in schools. Second, this list has phrasal question words and informal question words. In addition, the file also incorporates three example sentences under each question word.
